Travel Diary I: Plans & Lists
The planning phase, the most dreaded phase of the whole vacation cycle. The phase where you pick a date (a date that works for everyone going on the trip), book the date off and find a destination (which again, a place where everyone agrees on). Then, comes the part where you spend a couple of days skimming through all the reviews (575 reviews to be exact) and blogs you can find online about your travel destination, which in our case was The Finest Playa Mujeres Resort by The Exellence Group. After that, you book your destination and keep your fingers crossed that everyone has fun and the resort is what you thought it would be. The end, happily ever after? Well, no, not if your an OCD planner like me.
The Packing List (OOTDs):
Day 01 (Travelling Day): Forever 21 Black Tank Top, Wilfred Plaid Shorts, Banana Republic "Little Black Sweater", Ruche Flower Fields Canvas Backpack, Softmoc Sandals
Hint #1: Refrain from wearing excessive jewellery and carrying credit cards when travelling to Mexico. If you need your credit card, wrap them in aluminium foil to prevent your credit card from being scanned.
Dinner: Ruche Garden Beauty Floral Dress, Black ribbon heels
Hint#2: Resorts are very strict with their dress code for guys (poor Bear had to sweat it out in his dress pants & dress shirt almost every night) but more lenient on girls.
Day 02: White lace tank top (a souvenier from my Grandma), Kiana Maxi Skirt, Le Pliage Nylon Tote Bag by Longchamp
Dinner: Pollyanna Polka Dot Dress, Black ribbon heels
Day 03: Maryland Park Lace Detail Dress
Dinner: too lazy to change :P
Day 04: Forever 21 Mustard Floral Dress
Dinner: Cheers to You Embellished Dress
Day 05 (Excusion Day - DIY Trip to Isla Mujeres): J.Crew Red Khaki shorts, Ruche Embellished T-shirt, Softmoc Sandals, Elle water-proof handbag
Hint #3: Definitely check out the Playa Norte beach with waters the colour of milky aquamarine
Day 06: Dreaming Of Bali Maxi Dress, Flying By Earrings
Dinner: Cheers to You Embellished Dress
Day 07 (Excusion Day - Jungle Maya): Aerie mix & match bikini, Billabong Surfing Shorts, TNA "Don't look back" Over-sized T-shirt, worn out pair of running shoes Hint #4: Bring a change of clothes. If you're bringing a GoPro, make sure you have a body or head strap or you won't be able to bring it on any of the ziplines or repellign activities.
Dinner: Dinner In Paris Floral Dress,
Day 08 (Travelling Day): Whatever you packed and you haven't yet worn, something comfy for the plane ride
